Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: 17 July 2026

About these terms

Perth Outdoor Rollerblading (POR) is a community service operated by WA Outdoor Rollersports (WAOR), ABN 13 394 127 400. These terms apply to the POR public website, installable web app, authenticated administration app, content, events, activities, and related services.

By using POR, creating or using an account, contributing content, or participating in a POR activity, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant service or participate.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Accounts and administration access

  • Provide accurate information and keep your access method secure.
  • Use an account only for authorised POR work and within your assigned permissions.
  • Do not share access, bypass controls, scrape private information, or interfere with the service.
  • Notify us promptly if you believe an account or device is compromised.

We may change roles, suspend access, or close an account where reasonably necessary for security, operations, conduct, or legal compliance.

Participation and safety

Rollerblading and related activities involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, traffic, weather, surfaces, equipment failure, and the actions of other people. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for your health, experience and ability.

  • Use suitable, maintained skates and protective equipment.
  • Follow applicable laws, venue rules, organiser instructions, and reasonable safety directions.
  • Skate within your ability and adjust for traffic, surfaces, weather, visibility, and other participants.
  • Do not participate while impaired or when doing so would create an unreasonable risk to yourself or others.

Routes, times, formats and activities may change or be cancelled. An organiser may refuse or end participation where reasonably necessary for safety, weather, route conditions, ability, capacity, conduct, or operational reasons.

Read the current event safety information before participating.

Minors

A minor must have permission from a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for assessing suitability, providing appropriate supervision, agreeing to these terms on the minor’s behalf where legally permitted, and managing media permissions.

Content and media

You retain ownership of content you contribute. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it, including any permissions required from identifiable people and from a parent or guardian for a minor.

You grant WAOR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, reproduce, adapt, format, publish, communicate and promote that content for POR and WAOR community purposes. This licence lasts while the content is used for those purposes and for reasonable backup, archive and record-keeping periods.

When you use a temporary POR media-contribution form, its displayed consent statement specifically permits POR to store and review the selected files and publish selected files on por.au and POR official social media channels under your chosen credit. It does not by itself permit print, merchandise, paid advertising, or unrelated third-party use.

We may edit for formatting or clarity and may reject, unpublish, or remove content that is inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, inappropriate, infringing, privacy-invasive, or inconsistent with POR’s purposes.

Acceptable conduct

Treat participants, volunteers, administrators and the public with respect. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, deceive, impersonate, publish private information without authority, infringe rights, introduce malicious code, misuse integrations, or use POR for unlawful or unsafe activity.

Third-party services and links

POR may link to, embed, import from, or communicate with third-party services. Their availability, content, security, terms and privacy practices are controlled by them. A link or integration does not mean that WAOR guarantees or endorses everything provided by that service.

Donations and merchandise

Donations are voluntary and are not payment for a guaranteed benefit. They are non-refundable except where required by law or where a processing error is confirmed.

Merchandise may be offered by an external seller. The seller’s terms, prices, delivery, returns and consumer obligations apply to that purchase. POR will identify the seller or link to its terms where practical.

Availability and changes

POR is provided on an as-available basis. We may maintain, change, suspend or discontinue features, content or integrations. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, that information will always be current, or that an external service will remain available.

Responsibility and legal rights

To the extent permitted by law, you participate in activities and use POR at your own risk and remain responsible for your decisions, equipment, conduct, property, and compliance with law.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, WAOR is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by use of POR, third-party services, or activity changes outside its reasonable control.

Enforcement

We may remove content, restrict service access, exclude a participant, or refer a matter to a venue, platform, insurer, or authority where that response is proportionate to safety, misconduct, security, legal risk, or repeated breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Subject to any rights to bring a matter elsewhere, the courts of Western Australia have jurisdiction.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The current version will remain at this URL with its effective date. We will give proportionate notice of material changes and seek renewed agreement where required.
